Installing Car Seat Covers

Besides being stylish automotive accessories, seat covers are really helpful to protect you car upholstery for stains and spills. Others install a seat cover as a cheap replacement to their already worn-out leather seat. Car seat covers add a personal statement along with extra comfort. Nowadays, you can purchase seat covers in a wide variety of fabrics, colors and designs. The seatback, bottom and headrest are fitted separately with draw cords, so they are easy to install. Here are some tips on how to install car covers in just a few minutes:

1.Remove the head rest or the whole seat out to install the car seat cover easily. Make sure to disconnect the battery and the wiring on the seats for safety reasons.

2. Install the cover of the head rest first. Remove the headrest and place the cover. Install the seat back cover before placing the head rest.

3. Position and slide the cover carefully. Car seat covers usually have draw cords that you can tightly fit under the seats.

4. Attach the draw cords on the flap and fasten them under the seat or to the opposing loop on the seat cover. You can do the same way on the bottom seats.

5. Check if the seat covers fit correctly. Reconnect the battery and the electrical wirings. Lastly, bolt the seats back into the car.
