Unlike other behavior problems your dog may have, an excessive barking problem affects not only your home. It can strain relationships with neighbors and communities, sometimes even creating legal problems in which you might be forced to choose between your living situation and your beloved pet.
The PetSafe Bark Control Collar is designed to solve this problem in the safest and most effective way. It has the most advanced features for any product of its kind. This will shorten the training phase and promote the good behavior you need from him or her.
First, the Bark Control Collar has a patented “Perfect Bark” sensor, providing the most reliable bark detection available. Unlike competitors' products, the Bark Control Collar detects both the vibration and sound of your dog’s bark before emitting a static correction. This prevents false triggers which other bark correction collars, which use ONLY vibration OR bark detection are more susceptible to. If an external source, such as the sound of another dogs bark triggers the correction, your dog’s ability to associate the sensation with its own barking will become inhibited.
The Bark Control Collar also uses “Temperament Learning System” technology. Using microprocessor technology, this patent-pending design works customizes the training program to your dog’s individual needs and sensitivity. The Temperament Learning System contains software which will track and count each instance of correction. This substantially reduces, and in often eliminates, the number of nuisance barks.
The system utilizes ten correction levels. It begins the training at the lowest level corrections, gradually adjusting itself to your dog’s specific tolerance. As excessive barking continues, so does the intensity of the correction, until the barking stops. Once the dog has begun to reduce excessive barking, the initial warning corrections are reduced. (However, as a safety feature If your dog barks 15 times or more within a 1 minute and 20 second time period, the Bark Control Collar will disable for 3 minutes.)
